Mini-update

I am sooooo tired. I was up for 26 hours yesterday. Then during the night I kept waking up every hour to check what time it was because I was paranoid that I wouldn’t wake up when my alarm went off. So now… well, feeling weird. I’m tired, but I know that if I try to nap, I’ll just lie in bed fully awake. So I don’t know what I’ll do. Kinda hungry, but I can’t be bothered to actually go find something to eat. Need to go buy milk though. Hmm, I’ll do that a bit later.

I guess I should unpack. I just bought most of my books for this semester. $100 and that’s not all of it. *rolls eyes* But at least they look interesting. Not that into Ovid but ah well..

Christmas Eve Eve

*yawn* I am so tired. Should go to bed, but I just don’t feel like it just yet.

Well, I’ve finished wrapping up everyone’s presents. Did a little tidying up, otherwise I’ll get yelled at tomorrow. Why does Mom make Christmas into such a stressfest for herself? Okay, so the house isn’t spotless. Who cares? As long as there isn’t any dirt on the floor and things are sort of neat, it should be good enough. But yay, presents tomorrow! o/ I really want to give my mom her present. And if she doesn’t like it (which I doubt), well I’ll just take it. It was hard enough parting with it as it is. XD

Get to see Oliver on Wednesday. :) I was on the phone with him tonight (surprise surprise) and I was just checking at what time he can call me tomorrow from my parents and he understood what I said. ^_^ Well, just one word, the crucial one, but enough to get it anyway. Didn’t tell that to my parents though. XD

Uhm, what else? Been using the treadmill daily. Love that thing. So glad that I can finally have proper no added sugar, no added salt muesli for breakfast again. Seriously, that stuff that I’ve found from Missoula so far is ridiculously sweet. It’s just nasty. So now that I am home, I’m eating the “bird food” (as Oliver calls it) every morning. Well, except maybe Christmas Day when we have the traditional rice porridge. :)

And it’s off to bed with me now. I’ll still stay up reading most likely though. Need to finish off my current book so that I can start on the next ones that are waiting for me. Y’see, Oliver’s gotten me tons of books that I really want to read. Squee!!

Papers and stuff

Yayness, I’ve completed my Shakespeare paper. And my very lovely friend Gabe read it over for me and helped me tweak it. Yes, Gabe, the nit-pickiness is very good. My teacher used to be a lawyer so he wants evidence to back up any claims that we make in our papers. I’m so relieved that that’s over and done with. I’ve also finished my extra credit paper for that class, but I’d still want someone to look it over for me.

So now I’ve got two sci-fi papers to write, but those I can just pretty much just sit down and write in one evening if I’m feeling very inspired. It’s only seven pages in total, which is what I had for my Shakespeare paper + extra credit. And those two were tough ones. So I’m not too worried.

Exams are on Tuesday and Wednesday. >_< At least I’ve got the study notes written up for one of them. Too bad it’s not an open-note test, just open-book. It’ll help everyone who has decided to deface their textbook by underlining and writing notes in it. Not me though. I just can’t bring myself to write in a book.

Stephanie’s here, so I’m gonna go. :)

Le sigh

Well, Oliver left yesterday morning. Not really a fun way to start December. But I will get to see him in about four weeks. Now only if I had a ticket to get out of Missoula… XD To make myself feel a bit better last night, I watched Bridget Jones’s Diary. It really did lift my mood. Colin Firth is just so happiness inducing. What I’d really like would be the Pride and Prejudice movie that he stars in. At least I’ve got the Keira Knightley version of it for my PSP. Something to keep me occupied during my layovers. :)

Still need to work on my grandfather’s Christmas present, but everyone else’s is pretty much finished. Well, I have to wrap them up, but otherwise they’re ready. Oh God, how am I going to fit everything into my suitcases? O_O

Well, I gotta get back to writing up study notes and working on my paper for Applied Literary Criticism. Due on Friday! Plus, I still need to memorize my meager lines for the play we’re performing on Monday and Tuesday. Augh, so much to do!

An hour left!

*grin*

He should be landing in about an hour! I’ve got my hair all nice and curled, put on a nice dress after I showered, gonna wear my new boots… Yep, I’m ready. God, an hour is such a long time to wait… But Meesh wants to go get a smoothie, so I guess that’ll kill some time.

Squee!!!

Three good things that are making me giddy, in ascending importance: 1) Sci-fi class was cancelled 2) Justin (the really cute guy) talked to me 3) Oliver’ll be here tomorrow!!!!

So yay! Oliver’ll get in tomorrow evening at 11 pm. I cannot stop grinning. I get to see and be with my sweetie tomorrow night! *squeeeeeeeeeeee* Two whole weeks of being together. I can’t wait! Seriously, it’s been so long and he’s finally coming over and… lol, well, yesterday Katie told me to stop being so giddy because it was making her giddy. These emotions just rub off really easily among us girls. XD

Then yesterday when I was in the library working on our Rushdie thing with Katie I ran into Justin and we chatted for awhile. Today, before class started, he’s the one who started the conversation. ;) He is just so cute. He has to be the best looking guy in that class. Plus, he looks me in the eye when we’re talking. I’m not used to having people return my gaze when I talk to them. I have no idea why, but people don’t usually look others in the eye for long, but he does! Sort of hypnotizing actually. He’s got the best smile too. Would you look at that. This is what the US has done to me. I’ve started using superlatives to describe things. Take that statement about the smile for instance. All I meant with that was that he has a nice smile, noooo, I say that it’s “the best”. *rolls eyes* Even Jaz says that I’ve become a ditzy American.

And then the final, minor thing. My last class was cancelled. The class which bores me to death anyway, so it’s a win-win situation. ^_^

Road trip!

Well, today was election day over here, but since I ain’t no US citizen, I can’t vote. (Oh dear Lord I need to get rid of the fake Southern accent I’m using. It just sounds so bad. *cringe*) Anyway, because it is Election Day, nothing over here was open. At least not on campus. All classes were cancelled. So yesterday afternoon, we all just decided on a whim to go over to Alysha’s in Thompson Falls. That’s like a two hour drive from Missoula. But we had fun. Michelle and I met Corey’s grandfather, who was interesting, to say the least. He’s the one who gave us two shots of tequila each. It was my first time trying it and even though it wasn’t bad, I still prefer whiskey. Alysha thought it’d be fun to videotape us taking the first shots, so we’ve got that on my camera. XD Apparently, the two shots really affected Michelle but it didn’t really do anything to me. They thought it was hilarious that after two shots of tequila, I decide to start working on Shakespeare and actually come up with good stuff for my essay (yay, it’s finally done!).

Eleven days to go! o/ ^_^

Hard to believe it’s already November

It is soooooooooooooo cold over here. The weekend was fine. Around +15C. Then Monday morning I wake up to snow on the rooftops. Been freezing ever since. *rolls eyes* But I like it. Even if I do have a slight cough left over from Saturday’s really weird illness I had. Oliver almost scared me into thinking that I had meningitis. But after sleeping for like 11 hours, I felt fine. Now I’m just a bit stuffy.

Went to a haunted house last night with Alysha and Michelle. Boy was that creepy. Alysha screamed so much when the chainsaw man appeared. XD But because she was wearing cardboard boxes, she couldn’t run that well. We all got dressed up and everything. I went as a pregnant gypsy, Alysha was a box of M&M’s and Michelle was a hippie. What a fun bunch, eh? Anywayz, I’ve got pics and I’ll put some up eventually if anyone’s interested. If not, then I just won’t bother. So tell me!

We rearranged our room today. Nice and clean now too. And loads more space now that Michelle’s desk is underneath her bed.

And since it is past midnight, I’m going to bed. Need my energy for tomorrow’s play rehearsals. We’re putting on Shakespeare’s As You Like It. Don’t know my role yet, but I’ll let y’all know once I know.

Strange dreams

Well, I had another really strange dream. The first time (which was the night before last) the UM clocktower had planted itself onto Miller Hall, I was late for Shakespeare class and forgot my book (which Oliver brought to me) and the Weasley twins were dressed as a ghost and a sunflower on the roof and they were stealing my laundry through the window. Very strange indeed. And then last night, I was sitting in a convertible with some auburn haired guy that I was dating (while I was in a relationship with Oliver too) and we were taking a drive during the evening/night. It was spring/summer. I looked up at the sky and saw the letters M-A-R-R forming. I looked at him in surprise and asked was he seeing this too. He pulled over and said keep reading. I turned my gaze back to the sky and saw the words: “Marry me” formed by the stars. Gaping, I turned back to him and asked how he had managed to do that. He was holding my left hand and had slipped a ring on my ring finger. Eyes wide, I looked at him then the message again and then I stuttered: “I-I-I have to think about it. I’ll get back to you in a week.” Then at the ice skating rink, my aunt saw the ring and was all excited that I was engaged. Then she saw that it was made of plastic. I hurriedly explained that he didn’t have much money and that it was the thought that mattered. The rest of the dream I spent contemplating whether to say yes and whether to tell Oliver about this if I decided to say no. Then I woke up.

I guess I should stop watching Friends and listening to Harry Potter before I go to sleep, huh?

You have to read this outloud. We have forks

Well, I feel like I should update. So here goes: classes are going fine. Having fun with Michelle and Alysha. Getting sloshed right now. Well, they are, I’m still pretty sober. There was a load of fog this morning. Couldn’t see the mountains at all. Sorta strange when walking to class and not seeing them. Didn’t feel right. Handed in my Shakespeare paper today. Hope I did okay. Need to buy another paper diary, finished off the last one last night. Saw the exchange student lady today, got my advising PIN so I can register for classes next Monday. Hope I get into the ones I want. Wasted a lot of time playing Sims2 this weekend. One of them died because his wife’s plant ate him. ;_; Bleh, I can’t really be bothered to go into detail about everything. So that’ll have to do for now.

And the lovely quote above is supplied by my buzzed roomie Michelle. ^_^
